ALIA RAMADAN

Barjeez is an old traditional game from Damascus, Syria. It has mostly been played by women, and sometimes men play it with their wives and mothers, or they join a running game to complete the number of the participants. There is no limit to how many people can play Barjeez at the same time. Playing Barjeez with my grandmothers, aunties and cousins was one of the most lively and fun activities I can remember while growing up in Damascus. With this design I aim to Modernise the look of the game and introduce Barjeez to the young generation!
